How much and how often
How much should I feed my pet each day?
Adult dogs eat roughly 2 to 3% of their body weight per day. A 20kg adult dog needs about 500g. Puppies need roughly double that, around 5% of body weight, because they are building a body as well as running one. Cats sit around 2 to 4% of body weight. Use the calculator on any product page to get your pet's exact figure, then adjust based on what you see: ribs easy to feel but not see is the target.

My pet is overweight or underweight. What do I change?
Work from the lower end of the range (2%) for weight loss, the upper end (3%) for weight gain, and adjust every two weeks based on what you feel along the ribs rather than what the scale says on any given day. Raw feeding often normalises weight on its own, because the food is protein-dense rather than starch-dense.
How does feeding change with activity level?
A working or highly active dog can need 3 to 4% of body weight per day, sometimes more in cold weather. A senior dog dozing on the sofa may need closer to 2%. The percentage is a starting point, your pet's body condition is the answer.
Thawing and storage
How do I thaw it?
In the fridge, overnight. A 250g pouch thaws in about 8 to 12 hours; a 500g pouch may need a little longer. Never thaw on the counter, in hot water, or in the microwave. Counter thawing lets the outside warm up while the middle is still frozen, which is exactly the condition bacteria like.
How long does it keep once thawed?
Use within 48 hours, kept in the fridge. Treat it exactly as you would raw chicken bought for your own kitchen.
Can I refreeze a pouch I thawed by mistake?
No. Once thawed, keep it in the fridge and use it within 48 hours. Refreezing degrades quality and adds a temperature cycle you don't want in food you're not cooking.
How long does it keep in the freezer?
Check the date on the pouch. Keep your freezer at a steady deep-freeze temperature and don't let pouches partially thaw during transport home from delivery.
My pet won't eat it fridge cold.
Many won't, and that's normal. Let the portion sit in the bowl for 15 to 20 minutes to take the chill off, or add a splash of warm (not hot) water or our bone broth. Never microwave it, as that starts cooking the bone content, which is exactly what you don't want.
Safety and hygiene
Is raw food safe to have in a house with children?
Yes, with the same rules you already apply to raw meat you cook with. Thaw in a covered container in the fridge, wash hands and utensils after handling, use a dedicated bowl, wash it after every meal rather than at the end of the day, and don't let young children handle the food or the bowl. Pick up any uneaten food after 20 minutes.
What about my pet licking my face?
A reasonable question, and the honest answer is that pets carry bacteria in their mouths regardless of diet, including pets on kibble. Standard hygiene applies: wash hands after handling your pet, and if anyone in the household is immunocompromised, pregnant, or very young, speak to your doctor about sensible precautions.
How do you keep the food safe before it reaches me?
We produce in a dedicated facility in Bayader Industrial, Amman, under strict hygiene and sanitization protocols, source from inspected suppliers, and lab-test our products. Everything is frozen at production and stays frozen through delivery, so the cold chain isn't broken between our freezer and yours.
Mixing, treats, and extras
Can I feed raw and kibble together?
During the 14-day transition, yes, that's the method. Long term, many owners feed raw only, and others feed raw in the morning and kibble at night. Both work. Feeding them as separate meals rather than in the same bowl is generally the tidier approach once you're past transition.
Do I need to add supplements?
No. Our complete recipes are formulated to meet full nutritional requirements on their own, including the vitamins and minerals a raw diet needs to be balanced rather than just fresh. Adding more calcium or a multivitamin on top can push things out of balance rather than improve them.
Can I add my own vegetables or leftovers?
A little plain fresh vegetable is harmless. Avoid onion, garlic, grapes, raisins, chocolate, xylitol, and anything seasoned, salted, or cooked with oil. Never add cooked bones of any kind. If you keep additions under about 10% of the meal, you won't meaningfully unbalance the recipe.
What about bone broth?
Our bone broths work as a topper for fussy eaters, an easy way to add moisture for a pet that doesn't drink much, and a gentle option for a pet recovering from an upset stomach. They're a complement to meals, not a meal themselves.
Multiple pets and practicalities
I have several pets of different sizes.
Work out each pet's daily amount separately and add them together for your monthly order. The 250g and 500g pouch sizes exist precisely so you can mix and match without splitting portions. Feed pets in separate bowls, ideally in separate spots, so nobody finishes someone else's meal.
Can I feed raw while travelling?
For a day trip, a thawed pouch in a cool bag is fine. For longer trips without freezer access, most owners bridge with a dry or freeze-dried food and go straight back to raw on return. A short break doesn't need a full re-transition, though easing back over two or three days is kinder on the gut.
How much freezer space do I need?
Less than most people expect. A month of food for a 10kg dog is about 7.5kg of pouches, which stacks flat and fits in a drawer of a standard freezer. Larger dogs, or owners who prefer ordering less often, usually end up buying a small chest freezer, and it pays for itself in fewer deliveries.
Can my pet eat raw if they have a health condition?
Many can, and some conditions genuinely need a specific therapeutic diet. Pets with pancreatitis, kidney disease, or a compromised immune system, and pets on immunosuppressive medication, should only be switched with your vet's involvement.
